El Almejal Beach is located in the Colombian Pacific, is a little known tourist destination, so you will find a quiet place with few tourists. This beach is decorated by a landscape of tropical jungle and dark sands and is only 5 minutes from the Utría National Natural Park.

How to get to El Almejal Beach?

This tourist destination is located in Bahía Solano, in the village of El Valle. To get to Playa el Almejal you must go from any city in the country to the Olaya Herrera airport in Medellín, in the Medellín airport you will find services of small planes that will take you to the José Celestino Mutis Regional Airport in Bahía Solano. If you take a flight from Bogotá to Bahía Solano you will stop in Medellín. You can travel by ADA or Satena airlines.

At the Bahia Solano airport you will find transportation to El Valle, you have the option to take a bus or one of the famous Colombian chivas.

You can also get to El Almejal Beach by water, what you should do is go to the Port of Buenaventura in Valle del Cauca, there you can take a boat service that will take you to Bahia Solano. This option is a little cheaper, however, is much more delayed
